In this installment, seahorse Layton has had a crush on lynx Corbin since he was a kid, but when Corbin finally brushes him off, he winds up sleeping with Corbin’s brother, Preston and getting pregnant.
I loved the idea of a patrilineal society where the men give birth (yes, it is mpreg). I decided to review this book because the premise sounded very different from the traditional shifter books I usually read. In fact, I went and purchased The Shark Who Rode a Seahorse (Mate or Meal #5), which told the story of Layton’s parents getting together so I could understand where Layton and his twin brother came from. You will have to read other books in the series to understand the plot in this one as it is not a standalone. The Seahorse Who Loved the Wrong Lynx is a continuation in the Mate or Meal series by Scarlet Hyacinth. I did not realize this was a series until I started reading the book.
